evo wheel strip
Just bought a set of evo wheels about a week ago, got for a steal. But someone thought it would be cool and see what undercoat would look like on wheels, yea not to dam good. Now im in the process of stripping them almost done but cant decide what to do now powercoat paint or leave them polished? I myself like them polished my car is a burgandy 1g.

Hmmm.
On a burgundy 1g, polished might look rather slick. Otherwise, I'd go for a lighter color for the sake of contrast. |

You are lucky, the set of evo wheels I picked up had been powder coated two black, one of them red, and one silver , took me close to 25 hours to strip them , I'm gonna be polishing mine but I got in a hurry and installed them with no coating at all just bare metal...

Paint strip does wonders trust me, on mine I sprayed a real thick coat let sit for about 5 min rinsed off then shot them with the pressure washer while the paint was still soft. Im not even going to have to use a scraper, ill post some more pics when im finished. I was wondering if I leave them bare im going to have to protect the alum some how prob clear idk decisions decisions. Also get my trans back next week also

On the rims I have , the powder coat softened up after applying aircract stripper and I was able to scrape it off in layers about 4-7 layers per a rim , went thru multiple scrappers ect.
