RWD DSM ( Hacker Style)

This Mod is done in 2 phases. 1-3 hrs depending on your skill level.

1. Axle Removal and blank stub end instalation then
2. Viscous Coulpler Eliminator Installation.

Parts Needed
2 Junk Axles Dr. and Psnger side
1 Viccous Coupling Eliminator (Can be Homade or from a Vendor)
Tranny Fluid unless you intend of re-using yours
RTV

I
Jack up both sides of the front of the car. ( Use Jack STands to support the car)
Make like you have to replace/remove the Front axles. Remove them. This R&R is more difficult in 2g's than 1g's b/c of the way the suspension goes together.

Drain Tranny before you pull the passenger axle.

Just pull the outer shaft on the drivers side / No need to remove the inner 1/2 shaft on the drivers side of the tranny

Find 2 junk Fr axles. Cut the boot off, then knock the shafts out of the cups / clean out the grease. You will place these back in your wheel hubs and torque the Castle NUT back to factory specs. This will insure your wheels don't fall off the car. The other blank axle cup / will be placed in the passenger side of the transmission.

So at this point you've got the blank axle cups/stub ends installed in the hubs and the tranny and you've drained the tranny.

II
Remove the End cover from the TRansmission
10-12 12mm bolts 2 very long 10 short.
Carefully pry off the end cover. This will expose the factory Viscous Coupler. You'll need C-Clip pliers to remove the VC.
Replace the Factory VC with the VCE ( Viscous Coupling Eliminator)

Put RTV around the End Cover Re-install it/ Re-fill Transmission. Put your splash shield back in.

Go Roast some Tires.

{Disclaimer} I take no responsibility for any Damage done to your transmission or Transfer Case if you insist on doing Clutch Dump Launches in this configuration. My personal experience has been hassle and breakage free save for wear on the Fr. Univeral Joint. However I will take credit for the Damage done to Ego's of Mustang owners that will Freak the fuck out as you tear down the highway doing a 3rd gear burnout in your 350whp RWD DSM
